Data Centre Technical Architect

About the Role

As a DATA Centre Technical Architect at NTT DATA, you will design and implement DATA centre infrastructure and work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable DATA centre solutions as part of the pre-sales process. This is an on-site role.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement DATA centre architectures covering servers, storage, networking, power and cooling, and physical security.
• Evaluate and recommend DATA centre services to meet business, security and compliance requirements.
• Analyse, develop and recommend long-term DATA centre plans to meet current and future needs.
• Design and optimise network architectures using virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V and KVM, and virtual networking for LAN/WAN environments.
• Manage client proof-of-concept initiatives and produce technical documentation and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams during implementation and act as a trusted technical advisor.
• Support Sales with scope determination, product pricing, RFP/RFI responses and forecasting.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of DATA centre infrastructure components, networking technologies and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
• Good understanding of DATA centre security principles, compliance standards and best practices.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing LAN, WAN and virtual networking technologies.
• Expertise in server and storage technologies including virtualization, blade servers, SAN, NAS, and backup/recovery systems.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Extensive experience in a professional technical role within a large-scale, preferably multinational, technology services environment.
• Strong client engagement and technical consulting skills, with effective collaboration and communication abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or information systems.
