As a member of our Global Finance team you will have access to a network of financial professionals across 60+ countries. This role is part of the Global Services Finance team in the GS Finance Accounting process area supporting DePuy Synthes in Bangkok, Thailand.
Responsibilities
- Be compliant with applicable laws and regulations, and follow guidelines in the J&J Credo.
- Responsible for executing accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process area, including creating Sales and corresponding Purchase orders, reconciling out of balances, monitoring ageing, and performing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Timely closing and execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and SLA commitments, observing Compliance, Internal Audit and SOX requirements.
- Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process/entity scope.
- Drive deep expertise and ensure team knowledge of Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements.
- Lead and operationally manage an Accounting team (team of B25 and below associates) with no direct reporting lines when applicable.
- Support auditors and legal authorities with required activities and ensure strong internal controls to achieve adequate internal/external audit ratings.
- Identify compliance risks and recommend remediation or prevention solutions.
- Attract, develop and retain a high-performing, diverse Credo-based team; develop succession plans and ensure effective performance management.
- Act as a trusted business partner: execute global strategy & solutions, mentor Process SMEs, ensure cross-sector/region/process alignment and maintain documentation.
- If assigned as Operational Key Contact (OKC) or Subject Matter Expert (SME), act as liaison for queries, coordination with SMEs/analysts, issue resolution and update partners on close status.
- Generate and implement continuous improvement ideas and process efficiency opportunities, influence and execute process improvements in line with global standards.
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum 5 years of professional experience and minimum 3 years in a Supervisory/1st Line Leader role in a Shared Service or BPO organization.
- Required: Experience managing a team of 5 and above headcount and participation in Continuous Improvement or organizational/process transformation.
- Required: Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a multinational company and experience in at least one migration of work.
- Required: Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, be organized, work to tight deadlines, strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels, and clear & concise communication across stakeholders.
- Required: Open to new ideas, rapid change and new technologies; ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations with a pragmatic approach.
- Preferred: CPA, CMA, MBA or other financial certification; strategic mindset; solid US GAAP accounting knowledge; digital/intelligent automation capabilities.
Additional Information
Work arrangement: hybrid. Employment type: full time. Location: Bangkok, Thailand. This position may require up to 10-20% internal travel.
