Responsibilities

• Provide a positive first impression to every guest through a warm, welcoming individual greeting and maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Nurture lasting connections by showing genuine interest during service and remaining fully engaged throughout the voyage.
• Observe and identify guest preferences, anticipate needs and adjust service accordingly without the guest having to ask.
• Assist the Waiter to prepare table settings and maintain service stations in line with Company standards to create a comfortable, elegant ambiance.
• Assist the Waiter to deliver food and beverages as requested, on time, in the correct service order, follow up to ensure guest needs are met and suggest solutions to issues.
• Always follow all Company guidelines, policies and procedures, including USPH protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Catering / Hotel Management School preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of restaurant service experience from a four-star hotel or cruise ship.
• Knowledge of food, beverage and wine menus used throughout the fleet and ability to adequately explain pricing, food, wine and cocktail menus to guests.
• Ability to work under pressure in both Front and Back of House areas.
• Necessary computer skills and knowledge of P.O.S. systems.
• Command of the English language, both verbal and written.
