Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the Role

Location: Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel, 108 Chang Klan Road, Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai, Thailand, 50100. Schedule: Full Time. Work arrangement: Onsite. Position Type: Non-Management.

Ensure staff work together as a team to provide optimum service and meet guest needs. Complete opening and closing duties and monitor dining room operations, safety and guest well-being.

Responsibilities

• Inspect grooming and attire of staff and rectify deficiencies.
• Complete opening and closing duties including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and locking doors.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness; complete scheduled inventories and stock/requisition necessary supplies.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service flow, safety, and guest well-being.
• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating and coaching employees; serve as role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Follow company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Identify, recommend, develop, and implement ways to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
• Perform physical tasks as required (stand/sit/walk for extended periods; move/lift/carry/push/pull/place objects ≤50 pounds; grasp/turn/manipulate objects; move through narrow or elevated spaces; climb stairs/ramps; bend/twist/stoop).
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None required.
