Solution Cloud Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Solution Architect to join our team. We value strong communication and relationship-building skills in addition to technical proficiency in modern development methodologies and cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand requirements and translate them into detailed architecture and design, focusing on cloud-native approaches and best practices
• Develop comprehensive technical solutions leveraging cloud services and technologies, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
• Analyze business and technical challenges to identify functional and non-functional needs within a cloud environment
• Provide precise specifications for the definition, management, and delivery of cloud-based solutions, incorporating IaC principles and automation techniques
• Lead the delivery of MVP and POC implementations on cloud platforms to demonstrate feasibility and value to customers
• Troubleshoot complex technical problems within cloud environments, leveraging automation and scripting to streamline resolution and minimize downtime
• Drive automation initiatives across cloud infrastructure, scripting routine tasks and workflows using languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager to provision and manage cloud resources
• Incorporate security and compliance best practices into cloud-based solutions, using native security features and third-party tools
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in cloud computing, infrastructure automation, and DevOps

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more areas of the IT industry
• Experience building complex solutions on AWS or Microsoft Azure
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
• Solid understanding of containers and serverless architecture
• Experience designing relational or non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Aurora, DocumentDB, DynamoDB)
• Experience with agile approaches and experience in DevOps or DevSecOps
• Proficiency with infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools
• Strong communication and presentation skills
