Senior Solution Architect - Banking

About the Role

The Senior Architect for Core Bank who is familiar with Thought Machine implementation, with real experience implementing and architecting products and understanding limitations of Thought Machine. Lead the design and implementation of core banking solutions, providing technical leadership in system modernization, integration, and cloud-ready architectures while ensuring performance, security, and regulatory compliance. Drive end-to-end project delivery and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable and innovative banking platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of core banking systems (e.g., Thought Machine, Profile, Systematics, IBS, or other FIS platforms), ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
• Provide strategic technical leadership on system modernization, cloud migration, and API-driven banking solutions.
• Define and implement integration and customization strategies for Thought Machine and FIS core banking with digital banking platforms, payment systems, and regulatory compliance solutions.
• Engage with banking clients, product owners, developers, and business analysts to ensure successful delivery of projects.
• Ensure core banking solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
• Stay updated on AI, Gen AI, cloud computing, and open banking trends to enhance banking architectures.
• Lead end-to-end project implementation from planning to go-live, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in core banking architecture and implementation, preferably with core banking solutions.
• Proven hands-on experience implementing and architecting products and understanding limitations of Thought Machine implementations.
• Strong knowledge of banking processes, digital transformation, and regulatory frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, and API integrations.
• Expertise in database management (Oracle, SQL, NoSQL) and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading cross-functional teams.
• Effective project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills; comfortable presenting to executives and IT management.
