About the Role

As a DATA Centre Technical Architect you will design and implement data centre infrastructures, working with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into reliable, secure and scalable solutions as part of pre-sales and delivery activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data centre architecture covering servers, storage, networking, power/cooling and physical security.
• Evaluate and recommend data centre services and solutions to meet business needs and compliance standards.
• Design and optimise network architectures including LAN, WAN and virtual networking using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V and KVM.
• Provide strategic input and long-term planning to ensure data centres meet current and future requirements.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor and provide guidance to development and implementation teams.
• Lead client proof-of-concept initiatives and produce technical documentation and specifications.
• Support Sales via technical guidance, scope of work determination, product pricing and RFP/RFI responses; assist with forecasting and pipeline activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Information Systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data centre infrastructure components, networking technologies and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
• Good understanding of data centre security principles, compliance standards and best practices.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing network architectures (LAN, WAN, virtual networking).
• Expertise in server and storage technologies including virtualization, blade servers, SAN/NAS and backup/recovery systems.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Extensive experience in a professional technical role within a large-scale, preferably multinational, technology services environment.
• Strong client engagement skills and technical consulting aptitude; effective collaboration and communication with stakeholders.
