About the Role

As an Application/Software Architect, you will design software frameworks, systems, and products, conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes, and identify and resolve framework design weaknesses. You will provide technical leadership to application development teams, perform design and code reviews, and help maintain uniform enterprise-wide application design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design major aspects of application architecture including user interface, middleware, and infrastructure.
• Define system interfaces and integration approaches for connectivity between platforms, including IoT integration and API connectivity.
• Provide technical leadership, perform design and code reviews, and enforce enterprise design standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business requirements and ensure project delivery.
• Create and maintain documentation for software architecture, application design processes, component integration, and testing guidelines.

Qualifications

• Architectural experience of large customer change and transformation projects.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of hardware and software, including connectivity between platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• The Open Group - Master Certified Architect (or equivalent).
• Prior hands-on experience working in a Mainframe environment.
• Experience in Mainframe projects such as Modernise On, Integrate With, and Move Off.
• Strong understanding of z/OS, IBM Software Products, and third-party Mainframe software.
