Nurse Assistant

Patient Care

• Prepare hemodialysis area and consumables for operation in each treatment cycle.
• Assist in checking and maintenance RO system.
• Assist in checking and preparing dialyzer for dialysis machine.
• Collect all consumables of hemodialysis after treatment.
• Assist in internal and external cleaning hemodialysis machines after each treatment.
• Prepare and clean dialysis chair beds after each treatment.
• Perform vital sign checks pre, throughout, and post-treatment, recording as standard.
• Check body weight before and after treatment and report to nurse.
• Assist nurse to observe patient condition, signs, and symptoms.
• Assist nurse to collect and deliver all specimens to the laboratory.
• Assist patient during treatment and post-treatment.
• Perform other professional nursing activities as approved by Head Nurse.

Quality and Safety

• Provide nursing care and service to all patients with patient safety standard.
• Check and count all consumable supplies in inventory.
• Check and prepare readiness of supplies in treatment cart.
• Check and clean emergency cart, treatment cart for readiness.
• Check and record temperature and humidity in inventory area.
• Provide for patient safety in the clinical environment.
• Report all incidents and customer feedback to nurse.
• Demonstrate willingness to initiate or participate in unit quality activities for safety culture.

Communication and Service

• Communicate effectively with patient and family, ensuring rapid response to patient problems and feedback.
• Assist nurse for checking patient schedule, patient location and identify patient reimbursement category.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary team.
• Provide service to patient and family with quality of care.
• Demonstrate willingness to provide good care to patient and family.
• Provide excellent service.
• Comply with accepted dress code.
• Maintain a professional image among colleagues and to the public.

Education and Learning

• Demonstrate willingness to evaluate own practice.
• Keep abreast of current knowledge.
• Avail self of continuing education programs.
• Attend company’s education courses or conference once a year.
