About the Role

Current openings for various Quick Care locations. Provides diagnostic radiographic exams of patients for use by physicians in the development of diagnoses and treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to procedures and protocols.
• Position patients properly to maximize image quality and diagnostic value.
• Operate diagnostic x-ray equipment and perform quality assurance/quality control measures.
• Prepare and administer contrast solutions and monitor for contrast reaction symptoms.
• Perform venipuncture techniques as required.
• Apply radiation safety principles and aseptic techniques.
• Communicate effectively with patients and diverse clinical personnel.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to graduation from high school and graduation from an accredited school of radiology.
• Must possess valid ARRT certification in Radiography and State of Nevada Radiology License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Office Lab Assistant License required within thirty (30) days of hire for employees in Quick Care, Primary Care, Express Care, or other ambulatory care cost centers as determined by leadership.

Skills

• Radiographic examination procedures and protocols; diagnostic x-ray equipment operation.
• Quality assurance and quality control measures.
• Anatomy and physiology; contrast administration and reaction recognition.
• Venipuncture techniques; infection control policies and hospital safety practices.
• Use of personal computers for departmental tasks.

Additional Information

• Mobility to work in a clinical setting, including stamina to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
• Vision to use standard office equipment and VDT screens; hearing and speech to communicate in person or by telephone.
• Strength and agility to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
