Responsibilities

• Lead and execute high-quality underwriting decisions across secured and unsecured retail finance products while ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to credit policy, and portfolio quality.
• Perform credit assessment for both unsecured (Credit Card, Personal Loan) and secured loan (Hire purchase/Used car).
• Maintain the right balance between credit quality and business growth by making decisions to support reasonable approval rates while controlling the risk.
• Supervise credit judgment operations to ensure the accuracy, SLA and approval quality meet targets.
• Implement controls to reduce errors, early delinquency and fraud.
• Identify and monitor areas for process redesign, drive digitalization of credit judgement workflow and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments such as Marketing, Collection and IT to improve productivity and quality of application & portfolio.
• Prepare high quality reports and communicate clearly for senior management and credit committee.
• Ensure credit activities comply with all relevant laws, regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Strong command of credit assessment and fraud detection standards with over 5 years' experience at management level from consumer finance or retail banking, preferably in large scale operations.
• Strong leadership and ability to lead credit judgment team and manage day-to-day operations.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in retail finance industry.
• Excellent PowerPoint creation skill and confident in presenting at management or committee meetings.
