Position Summary
To accelerate the realization of Teach For All’s 25-year vision, we are seeking a strategic Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Director. The Director will contribute to and execute Teach For All's global recruitment and onboarding strategy across 25+ countries and five diverse regions (Africa, MENA, APAC, Americas, and Europe). This role will support ensuring our global workforce reflects the complexity and diversity of our work, focusing on full-cycle talent acquisition and the cultivation of a seamless, globally-integrated onboarding experience.
This position reports to the Head of Global Talent Acquisition and Onboarding. The Talent Acquisition & Onboarding team sits within the broader People Circle, playing a central role in shaping every new staff member’s experience. In this capacity, the team consciously engages with the Equity, Leadership and Organizational Development team, People Operations, and Global Ops circles to manage people-related matters with cohesion, supporting colleagues across the globe and ensuring a people-centered, inclusive journey from recruitment through onboarding and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the full-cycle recruitment process across all regions, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, and coordinating interviews.
- Proactively build talent pipelines via LinkedIn Recruiter, network partners, and professional associations, with a heavy emphasis on identifying diverse talent pools.
- Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, guide them through inclusive selection processes, and help mitigate bias during interviews.
- Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, ensuring a highly communicative, respectful, and engaging experience throughout the hiring lifecycle.
- Regularly update and refresh the new hire toolkit and corresponding resources.
- Coordinate and facilitate the day-to-day operations of the global onboarding journey, ensuring new hires feel welcomed and connected to Teach For All's culture and values.
- Support the transition and update of the onboarding content, and tracking new hire onboarding progress and completion.
- Coordinate with hiring managers, Technology team, and People Operations to ensure all logistics, tools, and introductory schedules are seamlessly prepared before a new hire’s day one.
- Manage and distribute post-onboarding and candidate experience surveys to measure the effectiveness, clarity, and inclusivity of the hiring and welcome processes.
- Partner with the Head of Global Talent Acquisition and Onboarding to shift onboarding toward scalable, asynchronous, and digitally enabled learning experiences using the LMS platform.
- Act as the super-user and administrator for the Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse) and sourcing platforms, ensuring data integrity, cleanliness, correct job postings, and process compliance.
- Pull regular metrics on recruitment timelines, pipeline diversity, and onboarding survey feedback to help the Team Lead evaluate system effectiveness and trends.
- Identify bottlenecks in the hiring or onboarding workflows and propose data-driven solutions to optimize efficiency.
- Regularly analyze feedback data from candidate and new hire onboarding surveys, and exit surveys. Transform qualitative comments and quantitative ratings into actionable insights to continuously refine our global talent strategies, improve retention, and resolve friction points.
- Maintain global compliance and GDPR/data privacy integrity within Greenhouse and sourcing platforms.
- Work closely with the People Operations team and Technology team to ensure smooth transitions from the offer stage to formal contract issuance and local compliance onboarding.
- Support cross-functional initiatives related to the broader employee experience, including workforce analytics, retention insights, and employer branding.
- Partner with the People Operations team to evaluate candidate global mobility, verify local residency/work authorization validity, and ensure compliance with multi-country employment requirements, by sharing regional candidate pool insights and market trends to inform equitable job leveling and localized compensation benchmarks.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or human resources, ideally within a global, matrixed, or international organization.
- Exceptional organizational and operational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent searches, onboarding cohorts, and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively with hiring managers, candidates, and cross-functional stakeholders across diverse cultures, functions, and time zones.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and thrive in a fast-paced, virtual environment.
- Strong judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to improve recruitment processes, enhance the candidate experience, and inform talent decisions.

- Strong understanding of equitable and inclusive recruitment practices and the ability to apply them throughout sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and candidate communications.
- Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment while delivering a high-quality, people-centered candidate experience.
- Hands-on experience administering Applicant Tracking Systems (preferably Greenhouse) and leveraging sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter to build strong talent pipelines.
