Responsibilities

• Keep customers in focus and support them with an attitude based on IKEA values; act as a good ambassador for the IKEA store.
• Engage with customers daily to get feedback, learn about needs, and share knowledge about food products’ content, origins and benefits.
• Support sales optimisation by knowing top-selling products, supporting range changes, preparing area readiness, contributing to the department action plan and in-store activities, and providing input on local competition, range and pricing.
• Comply with internal rules, policies and daily operational routines set by management.
• Handle delivery of merchandise to customers and ensure products are delivered efficiently and timely.
• Maintain inventory levels at warehouse level according to company standards using Inventory Management System/SMS or approved processes.
• Properly handle goods on site using appropriate tools and software systems.
• Execute IKEA store operations to meet Functional Commercial Review standards.

Qualifications

• Available to commit to a 24-hour work week (6 hours/day, excluding 1 hour break, 4 days/week) and shift work (e.g., 08:30-17:30 or 13:30-22:30).
• Available to work at least two weekdays plus Saturday and Sunday.
• Sales-driven, passionate about food and people, with experience in food management/industry and willingness to learn new skills.
• Enjoy working in a vibrant, fast-paced retail environment and are service-minded with customer focus.
• Flexible, open to change, confident and friendly when approaching customers.
• Take personal initiative, have good attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills, and can influence and collaborate with others.
• Willingness and ability to learn technical and non-technical skills and learn about IKEA products.
• Strong communication with customers, vendors, other departments and sales staff.
• Computer literate, specifically in MS Office.
