About the Company

With over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it's all thanks to our people.

We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability.

Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission!

About the Role

The Public Policy Specialist supports Bolt’s policy and government affairs work in Thailand, helping shape a regulatory environment that supports innovation and sustainable mobility growth. You’ll work closely with the Public Policy Manager (Thailand) and the Head of Public Policy (Southeast Asia) to interpret regulatory developments, identify risks, and engage key stakeholders across government and industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support Bolt’s advocacy and stakeholder engagement efforts by mapping and maintaining relationships with government agencies, industry groups, and strategic partners.
  • Assist with regulatory and legislative engagement, including preparing briefing packs, talking points, and follow-up materials for meetings, hearings, and working committees.
  • Conduct research and policy analysis to track political and regulatory developments, assess risks, and inform business strategy.
  • Manage specific policy projects (e.g. licensing reform, vehicle regulation, safety initiatives) with ownership of timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Draft position papers, consultation responses, and policy submissions to support Bolt’s regulatory and public affairs objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Legal, Marketing, PR, and Safety teams to translate policy requirements into practical business action and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in Thai and English, with the ability to summarise complex topics clearly.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a genuine interest in policy, regulation, and Thailand’s political and socioeconomic landscape.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects, staying organised, and taking ownership with limited supervision.
  • Effective communicator who builds constructive relationships with officials, partners, and peers.
  • Demonstrates integrity, sound judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Experience is valued but not mandatory; drive, intelligence, and integrity are key—please consider applying even if you don’t tick every box.

Benefits

  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
  • Rewarding salary and stock options.
  • Wellness perks for physical and mental health.
  • One-month paid sabbatical after 5 years at Bolt.
  • Company and team events to connect with colleagues.
  • Hybrid work model with at least 12 monthly in-office days; some perks may differ depending on location and role.
