About the Role

As a DATA Centre Technical Architect you will design and implement DATA centre infrastructures, translating business requirements into efficient, reliable solutions as part of pre-sales activities. You will be responsible for servers, storage, networking, power and cooling, and physical security, and will evaluate and recommend DATA centre services to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data centre architectures including servers, storage (SAN/NAS), networking, power, cooling, and physical security.
• Design and optimize network architectures using VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, LAN/WAN and virtual networking technologies.
• Assess and recommend data centre security, compliance standards and best practices.
• Develop long-term capacity and architecture plans to meet current and future requirements.
• Support proof-of-concept initiatives and produce technical documentation and specifications.
• Act as a technical advisor to development teams during implementation and to Sales in pre-sales, scope definition, pricing and RFP/RFI responses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or information systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data centre infrastructure components, networking technologies and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
• Experience with server and storage technologies (virtualization, blade servers, SAN, NAS) and backup/recovery systems.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Extensive professional experience in a large-scale, preferably multinational, technology services environment.
• Strong client engagement and technical consulting skills, with effective collaboration and communication abilities.
