About the Role

Technician

Greasing the wheels of day-to-day operations. You will be involved in the overall upkeep of plant and facilities equipment to ensure smooth daily operations. You’ll regularly inspect all equipment rooms and other facilities and take note of any problems using predefined checklists. You will walk the duty technicians through weekend work plans and give technical recommendations as needed.

Being the front line for maintenance needs: clients will come to you for equipment fixes, so you’ll be expected to be skilled in carrying out repairs, coordinate with vendors for maintenance work, and speed up required equipment moves, adds and changes. In every decision or action you must follow local governmental rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment rooms and facility areas regularly using predefined checklists and report findings
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and routine maintenance
• Coordinate and engage vendors for specialised maintenance or emergency repairs
• Plan and communicate weekend work plans to duty technicians and provide technical guidance
• Execute equipment moves, adds and changes as required
• Ensure all work follows local governmental rules and regulations

Qualifications

• Certified to perform electrical or mechanical repair
• Previous experience in facilities and maintenance roles
• Ability to clearly report issues and provide clear instructions for repairs and malfunctions
• Good written and spoken communication skills
