Senior Solution Architect

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Solution Architect with a strong background in database technologies, coding languages, and extensive experience in the retail domain. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing complex software solutions. As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading the architecture and design efforts, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative and scalable solutions within the retail domain.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and leadership to the development team in Java best practices and design patterns.
• Lead the design of software architecture and ensure Java solutions meet project requirements; anticipate and identify technical impediments and solve them with architecture design, technology choices, or prioritization.
• Oversee code reviews, maintain code quality, and mentor team members through coaching, pair programming, and training.
• Optimize Java applications for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
• Foster teamwork, facilitate communication, and encourage knowledge sharing among team members.
• Interact with clients or stakeholders, provide technical insights, and offer solutions to meet project goals.
• Work with the Product Owner to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the existing architecture.
• Co-create engineering practices, coding style guidelines, testing approach, and continuously seek better ways to solve technical problems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience designing and implementing complex software solutions, preferably in the retail domain.
• Strong technical expertise in Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with backend development and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Node.js, Golang, and Python.
• Knowledge of advanced object-oriented programming principles (e.g., SOLID).
• Significant experience in designing and using RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs, asynchronous message queues, and services.
• Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale distributed architectures (microservices).
• Database knowledge: relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (e.g., Redis).
• AWS experience required, including ECS, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS; AWS certification is an advantage.
• DevOps proficiency with tools and practices such as Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and ElasticSearch.
