Head of Construction

Responsibilities

• Follow up, check, plan, and provide consultation for department managers and section heads responsible for all new construction projects and branch renovation projects.
• Set operational guidelines and set quality standards and targets for control team and contractors to follow.
• Check the quantity and the cost of each project work.
• Check and follow up the making of contracting agreements.
• Check the use of budgets for construction project.
• Report the progress, operational problems, and solution approaches to supervisor.
• Set guidelines in preparing standard operation manuals and quality control standards to ensure the quality of work.
• Carry out the work assigned by department director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in construction, project management, cost and budget control, and design within retail, building, or real estate sectors.
• Ability to travel and work outside the province on occasion.
• Strong foundation in engineering, construction methods, project management, and design coordination, with full accountability for cost and timeline.
• Solid experience in cost control, quantity surveying, and a good understanding of legal and contractual frameworks.
• Proven leadership, strong analytical and decision-making skills, effective negotiation, and problem-solving capability.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
