Regulator Operations Executive (Shopee)

About the Role

Manage end-to-end regulatory escalations and serve as a primary contact for external regulatory inquiries, collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Government Relations and Business teams to ensure organizational alignment with evolving regulations and support regulatory projects and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Escalation Management: manage intake, interpretation, execution and resolution of regulatory and stakeholder escalations
• Compliance Gatekeeping: act as primary point of contact for external regulatory inquiries and proactively identify policy gaps
• Drive process improvements and strategic initiatives to align with changing regulatory landscapes and market trends
• Cross-functional Collaboration: coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Government Relations and Business Development to resolve complex requirements and ensure integrated compliance
• Executive Reporting & Insights: prepare summaries and briefings for management to support data-driven decisions
• Project Execution & Support: provide operational support for high-priority regulatory projects (e.g., FDA compliance) and handle ad-hoc assignments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any field (prefer Political Sciences); open to fresh graduates
• Background or interest in regulators, laws and regulation, especially FDA, TISI and Intellectual Property is a plus
• Attentive to detail and risk-aware
• Able to handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints
• Adaptive and eager to learn
