About the Company

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is an international conservation organization dedicated to conserving nature and ecological processes by preserving biodiversity, ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources, and reducing pollution and wasteful consumption of resources and energy. WWF operates in more than 100 countries worldwide. In Thailand, WWF has been active since 1983, with WWF-Thailand formally established in 1995. WWF-Thailand has been actively engaged in tiger conservation for over a decade, implementing key initiatives such as tiger and prey monitoring using camera traps, providing technical and financial support for SMART patrolling, conducting prey augmentation and habitat improvement, and promoting community education and outreach.

Major Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and implementation of tiger and wildlife research, monitoring, and database management, including data sharing with relevant partners
  • Assist in strengthening ranger capacity, patrolling systems, habitat improvement, and prey augmentation, including maintenance of research and field equipment
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of monthly, semi-annual, and annual work plans aligned with project budgets and targets
  • Provide logistical, technical, and administrative support, including procurement, travel coordination, filing systems, and project database management
  • Coordinate with government agencies, national and international partners, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation and effective collaboration
  • Support the organization of meetings, field visits, donor/VIP visits, and study tours (local and international)
  • Contribute to project communications, awareness raising, and development of communication materials to ensure accurate and positive representation of the project
  • Support capacity building of counterparts and project partners
  • Provide technical input and assist in issue resolution related to project implementation
  • Assist in monitoring, evaluation, and preparation of progress reports, including dissemination of technical information to relevant stakeholders

Requirements

Education and Qualification

  • At least high school

Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of wildlife, forests, and environmental conservation
  • Interest in nature conservation and field-based work
  • Willingness to learn conservation practices and field monitoring techniques

Experience

  • Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in research, field studies, and project coordination
  • Previous experience in fieldwork, community activities, conservation-related activities is an advantage
  • Fresh graduates with strong motivation are welcome

General Skill

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Basic record-keeping and reporting skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Proficiency in Thai (spoken and written)

Technical Skill

  • Ability to collect and record field data accurately
  • Ability to use basic field equipment (GPS, camera, smartphone applications, etc.) or willingness to learn
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prepare simple reports and activity records

Ability

  • Ability to work outdoors and in remote field locations
  • Willingness to travel frequently and stay in the field when required
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and as part of a team
