Safety Officer

About the Role

We’re looking for a Safety Officer to join our Thailand team. As a Safety Officer, you are responsible for ensuring a secure and compliant workplace by formulating and enforcing safety policies, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, and delivering training to employees on safe work practices and emergency response procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide Project Managers, Construction Managers and their teams with Health, Safety and Environmental services and guidance to promote an effective HSE program.
• Support all project-related initiatives and individuals to eliminate hazards in the workplace that could cause property damage, injury, illness or harm to the environment.
• Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments and hazard identification; support permit-to-work systems and site safety supervision.
• Report operationally to the Project/Construction Manager on all HSE program and operational matters.
• Deliver training to employees on safe work practices and emergency response procedures.

Qualifications

• University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or equivalent trade qualification combined with further relevant training and experience.
• Generally 5+ years relevant experience and proficiency with relevant systems, processes and tools used in the field.
• Experience in site safety supervision, permit-to-work systems and hazard identification.
• Thai language is essential.
